MIGHTY MITES
Age Group/Level: Ages 3 to 4

Looking for a fun hockey experience for the little ones? NSD's Mighty Mites program is a multi-level program, offering 3 and 4 year olds the opportunity to experience the sport of Hockey in a fun and exciting recreational environment. Mighty Mites will learn the basics through thrilling games and drills that focus on fundamental movements, skating and hockey skills. It's a program all about having FUN with hockey!

SMALL AREA GAMES
Age Group/Level: Tyke to Bantam

NSD prides itself on including the Small Area Games theory within its hockey development model, as it is deemed beneficial for all ages and skill levels. Players are forced to compete at higher-levels overall, helping to raise their individual skills, quickness, decision making and knowledge of the game. By working in small spaces, skill development improves that much faster provided players are given the opportunity to touch, carry and pass the puck that many more times than they would in an average practice or structured hockey game. It goes even further to teach players how to protect the puck and master the importance of stick handling and passing.

DYNAMIC SKATING SKILLS
Age Group/Level: Novice to Bantam

Looking to enhance your power skating skills? NSD's Dynamic Skating Skills program offers Novice to Bantam players, the opportunity to improve and master power skating techniques through professional instruction.  Players will be exposed to proper body positioning, edge development, transitions, agility and quickness, and core strength development. It's a program designed to make you a "complete" skater!

PROGRAM FOR EXCELLENCE
Age Group/Level: Pee Wee and Bantam

Looking to enhance your community/quadrant hockey experience? Program for Excellence (PFE) is a personal coaching early morning program designed to compliment players’ development with their respective community/quadrant team.  The PFE offers a low player to coach ratio, giving each player greater individual attention both on and off-the-ice. As a result, PFE is geared towards players that are truly committed to pursuing excellence in the sport of hockey and it has been designed as an alternative to school programs.

ALBERTA CUP PREP CAMP
Age Group/Level: 1998 Born

Looking to give yourself an advantage? NSD's Alberta Cup prep camp offers on-ice development aimed at prepping 1998 born players for Alberta Cup zone tryouts. The camp will help players to meet and exceed the demands placed on players as they go through evaluations for the Alberta Cup.
